Bitters are an essential part of good gut health. Bitter flavors encourage the production of digestive enzymes that aid in food digestion, reduce gas and bloating, increase nutrient absorption, and help support immune function.

This blend of bitters is packed with the natural antihistamine properties of nettle, cardamom helps to warm and improve digestion where it may be sluggish, and it provides an array of plant compounds that support the immune system and fluid movement in and out of the body.

The rich, sweet smokiness comes from the addition of lapsang souchong tea. This tincture does contain trace amounts of caffeine which aids in healthy digestion and waste elimination. The amount of caffeine in the recommended dose is negligible and should not affect sleep patterns outside of the most sensitive persons.

Directions: take up to 90 drops in water or on tongue before meals.

What inspired you to start Wilderness Maven Apothecary?
Wilderness Maven Apothecary was born from my lifelong relationship with plants and the land. As a child, I was intuitively foraging plants and "doctoring" my stuffed animals with leaves and roots gathered during long walks in the woods. At that time, I was guided by instinct rather than instruction. In my twenties, that early connection resurfaced as a clear calling to study the historic wisdom of herbalism and to work with plants as true allies for wellbeing. This apothecary is my way of honoring the connection between ancestral knowledge, reverence for the earth, and intentional craft-driven formulas meant to support modern life.
